GOOD GIRL

POEM

· poem current affairs,lyrics

I’m a good girl

I’ve always been a good girl

Waiting for the one

To bring me into his world

I’m keeping everything in check

I’m the top chick

I’m a good girl

He’s my prince,

not a knight in shining armour.

He’s my prince

And I’m lucky that I found him.

I’m a good girl

Here I go

Coming into his world

I’ve got everything I wished for

And so much more

He’s got me

He owns me

I’m his one and only

He thrills me to bits

And I’m climbing up the ladder

Materials don’t matter

When I’m lying in his arms

He’s got me

He owns me

I’m his one and only

Disconsolate

Heartbreaker

Home wrecker…

I tried to be a good girl

but we’re not living

in a perfect world

From the outside,

home’s a palace

but from inside it’s a prison

Fame and money

don’t give solace

Freedom calls from within

Round and round you’re chasing me,

debasing me

Hating me

You used to love me but you're hating me,

chasing me

debasing me

The gloves are off now.

Time to stand alone

and when I think I’ve run

down

You’ve got me where you want

Going too fast

I can’t stop

Racing too fast

I come undone

and when the chips are down

Trying to stand but I can’t run

Crushed and broken

This is a token of

What was private

For your eyes only

Your gaze

The kind of exposure

I can not erase
